Windows Vista Computer Sound Is Very Quiet?

I have recently got a new computer, Acer, Windows Vista and I have set the bvolume to the highest and I can barely hear it, i’ve tested the speakers and everything, what can I do to make it louder?
by the way it isn’t a laptop.

    You’ve probably got a laptop on your hands. I’d say the easiest thing to do would be to get some headphones. They tend to be a bit louder than the laptop speakers. Outside of that you could get some new, louder speakers.

    Have you adjusted the volume in all places there are to adjust the volume? There’s a speaker in the bottom right of the screen, click on that and check the volume level. Check the volume level in the program you are using to listen to whatever you’re listening to. Do your speakers have a volume control on them? Some monitors also have a volume control on them.
