Looking at HD TV’s and wondered how many more watts / hour an LCD TV uses compared to an LED TV.

Because LEDs need so little energy to power them they can be up to five times more energy efficient.

However, LED TV’s have the same slow response time as an LCD, they are just thinner. Poor viewing angle without color / contrast change. I don’t like any blur on fast moving objects, so I stick with plasma. Extremely fast response time, very wide viewing angle, and excellent blacks and color. No more issues with burn-in. Yes, LED’s are thin, but also slim on performance in my opinion, and overpriced.
