T-Mobile has announced tiered value plans that will eliminate overages for devices on its HSPA network

T-Mobile has announced new value plans that offer unlimited data from its HSPA + network on any of it’s compatible broadband devices. This includes smartphones and tablets.

From the press release:

“Slated to be available beginning on July 24, the new plans build on T-Mobile’s commitment of offering affordable, consumer-friendly plans in tune with the evolving needs of wireless customers. Available with a two-year agreement for new and existing customers, the Value plans offer single-line and multiline options with a range of price points for talk, unlimited text and unlimited data with 2 GB, 5 GB or 10 GB of high-speed data – with no data overage charges. Customers can choose from a variety of monthly plans and only pay for the high-speed data they need.”

In other words T-Mobile is trying to put a postive spin on the practice of throttling data.

Nice try T-Mobile.

Still, the pricing plans offer up a decent value. Android Community reports that getting in on HSPA+ 4G will break down at $39.99 for 2GB, $49.99 for 5GB and $84.99 for $10GB a month (includes unlimited text and talk) on contract.A value family plan at 2GB will run $49.99 per line for two lines.

Again, these plans will go into effect on July 24th.
