Powered by Android 3.2, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 features a dual-core processor and a spectacular Super AMOLED Plus screen
Samsung is at IFA in Germany today where they unveiled their next Honeycomb-powered tablet, the Galaxy Tab 7.7.
Further extending the Galaxy Tab brand beyond the 10.1 and the Tab 8.9, Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 7.7 features a dual-core 1.4GHz processor, 7.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, and HSPA+21Mbps support.
Whats more, the tablet includes Android 3.2 Honeycomb, microSD expansion, 1080MH playback, and a 5100mAh battery all packed into a crazy thin 7.89mm body.
As UnwiredView points out, the 7.7-inch screen is in keeping with Samsung’s push toward devices that straddle the line between the tablet and smartphone spaces. The Tab 7.7 isn’t going to replace your laptop or iPad or Tab 10.1 for multimedia of movies, but should be great for email.
Pricing and carrier availability have yet to be announced for the Tab 7.7, but presuming Sammmy is permitted to sell them, the wait shouldn’t be too long.
A hands-on video courtesy of Engadget of the Galaxy Tab 7.7 has been posted below. Enjoy!
