Powered by Samsung’s dual-core Orion processor, the Galaxy S2 might be launching on AT&T later this year
Several images of AT&T’s Samsung Galaxy S2 have been posted on the international Samsung Facebook page. For U.S. customers, this sneak peek is great news and gives AT&T customers an idea of what the handset will look like when if finally launches.
As a refresher, specs for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S2 include a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 8 megapixel camera with 1080p recording, and 1.2 GHz processor. The Galaxy S2, rumored to hit stores as the Samsung Attain on AT&T, will have Android 2.3 Gingerbread and TouchWiz 4.0 on board too.
Unlike the original Galaxy S2, the AT&T S2 has been updated to the carrier’s specifications, sporting four capacitive buttons and styling similar to the AT&T Infuse 4G. Very slick from the looks of things.
Obviously, no word on a launch date yet, but we should find out more information soon. An early fall launch is definitely possible.
That said, any AT&T readers out there interested in picking up the Galaxy S2 when it launches?
