The Android 2.2 Dart reportedly sports a 3-megapixel camera, QVGA screen, and a 600MHz processor
TmoNews is reporting that a USA-tweaked and T-Mobile-branded version of the Galaxy Mini will be available June 15th in the form of the Samsung Dart. The device will be an affordable, entry-level handset that’s perfect for first time Android users.
Like the Galaxy Mini, the Dart ships with Android 2.2 Froyo and sports a 3-megapixel camera, along with 3G support, Bluetooth, and a 2GB microSD card. Interestingly, TmoNews makes no mention of WiFi, so the Dart may be a data-only handset. I hope this isn’t the case however.
While pricing has yet to be announced, we couldn’t imagine that the device will run higher than $100 on a new contract. It may even cost $49.99.
If you still have a feature phone and don’t want to shell out for the HTC Sensation, the Samsung Dart might be the the right smartphone for you. It’s definitely an interesting smartpone for Android beginners.
