On Wednesday, Apple confirmed that the former CEO Steve Jobs has died at the age of 56 years
“Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost a remarkable man,” Apple said in a note on its Web site. “Those who are lucky enough to know and work with Steve has lost a good friend and inspiring mentor Steve left a company that only he could build. And the spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.”

Retreat from the CEO in August after 14 years leading the company that has been in established since 1976
. “I always said if ever there comes a day when I could no longer meet the obligations and expectations as CEO of Apple, I’d be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come,” he said at the time.
Apple did not disclose additional details about passing, but struggled Jobs health problems for several years. Three years after successful surgery for pancreatic cancer, Jobs announced in January 2009 that he had a “hormonal imbalance” that rob the body the necessary protein. He took time off, and it was later revealed that he underwent a liver transplant. In June 2009, he returned to work.
Although very successful, busy again in 2010 Jobs took a toll on health and he took time off again in January 2011. He was surprised and delighted fans, however, by pointing to the debut of the iPad March 2, told those present that he had worked too hard to miss product launch. He was also there to show off the IOS 5 and Mac OS X Lion few months later.
Apple is now led by Tim Cook as a replacement CEO Steve Jobs.
