Official Facebook for iPad app leaked

Hidden inside Facebook’s iPhone app, Facebook for iPad is a vast improvement over the mobile Web interface currently available

Images of Facebook’s unannounced iPad application have been leaked by technology site TechCrunch. First discovered by a clever team of researchers over the weekend , the official app has been hidden inside Facebook’s iPhone app for quite some time.

TechCrunch‘s MG Siegler, who has already tested the application, says that Facebook for iPad offers a unique “HTML5-rich experience” and that the app is a huge improvement over the mobile Web interface currently available to iPad users.

Facebook for iPad is expected to launch soon but an exact release date is still unknown. Perhaps a several weeks at most.
