An AOSP forum response seems to indicate the Motorola Xoom will be getting Android 3.2 Honeycomb very soon

An AOSP forum response from an anonymous Android developer may have just given away the release date for Android 3.2, the next version of Android Honeycomb. According to the developer, Android 3.2 should be rolling out to the Motorola Xoom “within days.”

First detailed by the site This Is My Next, Android 3.2 is said to be quite a bit similar to Android 3.1 except for the fact that it will offer support for Qualcomm dual-core processors in addition to the NVIDIA Tegra 2 silicon currently powering today’s 10.1-inch tablets.

3.2 will also provide some bug fixes and improve overall hardware acceleration. It will provide full support for 7-inch screens too. This means that devices such as the original Galaxy Tab and HTC Flyer will now be able to be upgraded to Android 3.2 Honeycomb, instead of a previous version of Android.

Unfortunately, in regards to an exact release date, the anoymous developer’s message was open and not very detailed. That is why you see that big question mark up there in the title. Besides the mysterious message saying 3.2 is coming, we really have nothing.

With any luck though, we will find out all the details sooner, rather than later.
