Reports suggest America’s 4th largest carrier will launch an AWS iPhone 5 sometime in October alongside Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T

Not even one day after the Wall Street Journal reported that Sprint would be launching the next iPhone, MacTrast reports today that T-Mobile will be getting some iOS goodness too.

According to the report, the information comes via a contact within T-Mobile USA who just decied let the world know that the iPhone would be launcing T-Mo sometime in October of this year. Not too far off.

Beyond the idea that the iPhone 5 would be released on the big four carriers all at once, the MacTrast source said that Apple expected the move to level the playing field for T-Mobile:

“We expect the addition of the iPhone, and the iPhone 5′s ability to run on our 3G network to make a significant financial difference for T-Mobile.”

If you recall Boy Genius Report published photos this past April revealing that Apple has indeed been testing an AWS iPhone model, so this report shouldn’t be a huge suprise to anyone.

Apple’s next iPhone is expected to be announced in late September alongside a revamped, less expensive iPhone 4.
