The WiMax-enabled HTC Kingdom reportedly sports a 1.2GHz single-core processor and a 4.3-inch qHD screen

Looks like the smartphone known as the HTC Kingdom has just been given FCC approval.

The Kingdom is a device we’ve heard of once before, about a month ago, when details about it (including the picture to the right) first leaked. That leak was spot on getting most things right, especially the fact that the device will be sold by Sprint here in the United States.

Known as the PH44100, the filing confirms the device is definitely going to have a 4.3-inch qHD display, as well as CDMA and WiMax bands. Other than those two tidbits though, the FCC filing reveals little.

According to the previous leak though, we already know the device is set to launch with a 1.2GHz single-core Scorpion processor, a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 1.3-megapixel front facing camera, and an Adreno 205 GPU.

The device will also come with the newest Qualcomm MSM7630 chipset, making it a CDMA world phone.

Oh, and it will also have Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread right out of the box. Good stuff.

Unfortunately, the Kingdom’s stop at the FCC didn’t reveal anything else, so for now all we can really do is wait. With any luck though we will find out more details in the coming weeks.
