Samsung-Hercules-Galay S II-Telus

Said to be launching this fall, Samsung’s Hercules was rumored to have curved edges and a large 4.5-inch display

A purported photograph of the long rumored and long awaited Samsung Hercules has been leaked to Canadian technology site Mobile Syrup. Said to be taken at a TELUS launch event over the weekend, the leaked shot shows a device that looks very similar to the Samsung Galaxy S II.

According to the source who obtained the photograph, the Hercules will have a 4.5-inch screen and run Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread with TouchWiz on top. Mobile Syrup reported that the device is quite nice and is a mix of the Galaxy S II, the Nexus S, and the 4.5-inch Galaxy S Infuse.

Besides these specs however, everything else we know about the Hercules is rumored specs: a 1.2GHz processor, Android OS 2.3, a 8 megapixel camera with 1080p HD recording, and a possible 2 megapixel front-facing camera. It’s all kind of up in the air still.

It’s worth mentioning, as reported by TmoNews, that along with hitting TELUS, the Hercules was also rumored to be launching on T-Mobile USA at some point. TELUS seems to have a nack for snatching up T-Mobile variants, so I have no doubt that this is probably exactly what the T-Mobile verison will look like..

Besides me, any readers out there interested in the Hercules? What are your first impressions of the Samsung Hercules so far?
