GSM European EVO 3D

The European version of the HTC EVO 3D has suddenly appeared at a number of UK retailers, following recent delays which resulted in the phone being unceremoniously dumped by Vodafone UK a few weeks ago. With no network-subsidized option available just yet, the only way to get hold of HTC’s stereoscopic monster right now is by forking out for the SIM-free version, which retails at a slightly eye-watering £500 (~$815). However, that gets you a potent mix of bleeding-edge smartphone technologies, including a 3D qHD (960×540) display, a 3D recording setup, a dual-core 1.2GHz CPU and 1GB of RAM, not to mention HTC’s latest Sense 3.0.

If you’re tempted, be sure to check out our review of the US version, which launched on Sprint a couple of months ago. Stay tuned to AC for full write-up of the European model in the next week or so.
