Who knew that a cellphone could cause so much panic and still remain more indispensable that a computer? It’s plain simple that we cannot live without phones, even though we have all these studies and statistics that point at cellphones being one of the causes for brain cancer amongst many. Andrea Bolan, who represents Maine is panic stricken herself, and makes sure that she uses the speaker of the phone rather than holding the handset precariously close to her head. Based on a bill submitted by her, the likely steps that will be taken may make it compulsory for manufacturers to put labels on phones and packaging, stating that the device they’re selling can cause brain cancer (because of electromagnetic radiation).

We will soon see small children and pregnant women kept away from cellphones because of the same reason. Motorola, who sell a hell lot of their phones across the globe have sought a clean chit on this issue, claiming that their handsets comply to all international safety standards. We will soon hear a lot more on the same from other popular manufacturers.
