The man known as the “godfather” of the iPod has invested his energy in a household device, a thermostat.

Tony Fadell led to a surprise when he left Apple in 2008, when the title of the music division. Fortune magazine once a successor has transformed the former President and CEO, Steve Jobs.

Mr. Fadell found that their efforts were in learning thermostat.

The clever device adjusts the temperature based on the presence of people and their habits.

It can “learn” about the house cooling and heating modes to optimize performance and adapt to the weather.

Mr. Faddell said the device could reduce from 20 to 30% of the average household energy bill.

He said it is also possible to manage $ 249 (£ 156) thermostat remotely via a smartphone around.

The price is about fifteen times higher than what the thermostat base to sell to the United States.

Smart Gadgets

And ‘alternative to a “smart” models on the market.

A product of the Canadian firm connected to the Web ecobee “green” program for thermostats.

But according to Mr. Fadel company, Nest, Thermostat learning is more user friendly and has the advantage of “observe” the household members and their environment.

Using a motion sensor, can detect if someone at home – and if the house or flat is empty, it goes to sleep mode by lowering the heating or air conditioning.

In addition to the thermostats

A computer, it is possible to adjust the temperature remotely from a computer or mobile device

Smart thermostats are a kind of proliferation of “smart” that are connected to the Internet and able to interact with people and with each other.

Smart meters and smart grids are among the best known, but companies are also experimenting with smart parking, smart tags in shops, and even the operating system call control features of a chip urban city in the future.

Tech website CNET, who interviewed Nest co-founder Matt Rogers says the start-up is likely to move to smart thermostats in the coming years.

“Do not hire an elite team to create a product. You contract to build a society,” the website quoted as saying that Rogers.

NTT DoCoMo, Fujitsu, NEC and Panasonic are discussing a joint venture with Samsung could be created next year, Reuters reported recently. The two companies will develop new smartphone of baseband chips, in an attempt to compete directly with Qualcomm, which is currently 80% of the chip industry connectors. NTT DoCoMo is the major partner in the joint venture based in Japan and the planned total investment is approximately $ 390 million. The joint venture will allow each company to reduce acquisition costs. Samsung has thought of using the new chips in their phones in the family the Galaxy brand’s future, but the group also will sell the new processors from other manufacturers of smartphones. NTT DoCoMo, Fujitsu, NEC, Panasonic and Samsung has not announced formal plans for the company.

Last week we launched three new devices, the Nokia 600, the Nokia 700 and the Nokia 701. If there’s one thing we enjoy more than launching a new product, it’s talking to the designers behind them. We’ve spent some time talking to Giuseppe Russo, Design Specialist of the Industrial Design Team who worked on the Nokia 600. Let’s find out what went on behind the scenes.

What exactly does a designer for Nokia do?

Designing devices and mobile experiences is an activity that pulls many
things together, such as knowing the users and their desires, hardware
and software technologies, services and markets, production and
distribution, and several more.Being a designer at Nokia has a mixture of functions. We work closely with the R&D and hardware teams to create and develop our ideas, sometimes many years ahead. Ultimately, the aim is to combine all the bits together to create a great user experience where hardware and UI (User Interface) work together as are a whole.

What were the challenges you faced when designing the Nokia 600?

Great performance and accessibility; the main challenge with this particular design was to create a phone with a strong appeal, that was desirable and aspirational with its hardware and performance while also making it affordable at the same time. One of our primary tasks was to make this device accessible for people just starting out with a smartphone and in particular, people in the emerging markets. We wanted the device to be expressive but clean all together, and we decided to keep the part-count down and reduce the splits to make the phone more solid. Specifically the front of the device shows this approach with a seamless surface that flows down to the sides without interruptions.

Doing more with less makes for a simple, iconic and attractive phone. The new Symbian Belle user interface is brought to the fore in the display centric front of the device. This is complemented by the soft and tactile back that feels great to hold, and is comfortable in your pocket.

Why did you opt for the curved back design?

The Nokia 600 is predominantly targeted to a younger market, so people who are maybe more active than others. Portability and one-hand use are often strong necessities for them and the curved back fits comfortably even into smaller hands, making it easy to reach every area of the screen. This is celebrated by the side arc between front and back, which is the product signature and bonds the human (soft ergonomic back) and the technological (interactive front).

Why did you chose the colors that have been chosen for the Nokia 600?

The colors are a very important part of the design story. Of course, black and dark colors are always a good basic colour, but we wanted the Nokia 600 to express some attitude, so we decided on these vibrant colours.

In terms of the entire design process, what changes take place from start to finish.

It takes a long time for a phone to be created from start to finish. At the beginning the Nokia 600 did look slightly different but the overall feel of the phone is the same. Some changes and adjustments to the design are typically necessary as we move ahead with the development end we go into the testing phases. This phone is basically an evolution of the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and the Nokia X6. Both were built with the young music-lovers in mind.

Recording what’s happening on your Android device’s screen has always been a bit of an anomaly. There options were few and far between (one, two tops) and the frame rates you’d get from them weren’t top-notch. Then, all of a sudden, like a beacon of hope and progress towards a better future, ScreenCast & Screen Recorder appeared.

ScreenCast & Screen Recorder is as simple to use as they come. Hit the big red record button on the main screen and you’re good to go.

There also are a couple of settings in ScreenCast & Screen Recorder, like the ability to choose normal or high quality, pick the frames per second you want to record at, or define the default file name for your videos. It’s pretty bare, but it doesn’t need to be comprehensive. They are just screen recordings, after all.

There’s also a built-in gallery where you can open and watch your videos, but be assured, everything still shows up in Android’s gallery, too. Rounding it all out is the benchmark options, which stress tests your system to try and see what the maximum fps you can record at is.

ScreenCast & Screen Recorder doesn’t do live streaming nor can it take screesnshots, but the developers says those are both features being worked on.

ScreenCast & Screen Recorder has both a free version and a paid version for $2.99. The free version is merely to let you see how the app works (and that it works at all) and only lets you record 15 seconds of video. Spring for the real thing and pay the three bucks. It’s totally worth it.

Download links are after the break.

Samsung announced in August that it was changing its naming strategy, so that there were a number of new profiles for its collection of handsets.

This essentially means that the handsets aren’t packing enough power to be considered high-end but creep outside of the feature phone arena, offering enough for those who want a phone for everyday use.

While the popular S range of smartphones stands for Super Smart, the M range – of which the Samsung Galaxy M Pro is part – is all about the magic. Well, the Magical to be more precise.

The Galaxy M Pro, shown off at IFA 2011, offers just that, with the Pro part of the name simply meaning it has been given a QWERTY keyboard.

In the hand, the Galaxy M Pro feels like a decent device. It has been given a 2.7-inch screen which is a touch too small, though.

The Samsung Galaxy M Pro also packs Android 2.3, has a 5MP camera on the rear with LED Flash and can record video at WVGA at 30fps. This is coupled with a 1GHz processor and 1GB memory, which you can expand to 32GB through the microSD card slot.

While it is touchscreen device, our not-so-podgy fingers just felt that little bit too big for playing around with the OS, selecting widgets, apps and the like.

At least it is bright and Samsung has done the best it can with the screen layout it has.

Situated underneath the screen are real home, back, search and menu buttons. It would have been nice to have seen these as touch buttons, but they are responsive enough nonetheless. In the middle of this physical button hoard is an optical trackpad.

The rest of the fascia is made up of an impressive QWERTY keyboard. This may not be the most feature-focused phone in the world, but it does have a great physical keyboard.

This is definitely the star of the show, with Samsung making as much room as possible for the keys. They have been nicely colour coded too, with the numbers jumping out at you in dark yellow, as well as the ALT keys.

The look of the Samsung Galaxy M Pro is one of sleekness. A brushed metal chassis rounds off what is a rather eye opening device.

As with pretty much all of its Android phones, Samsung has overlaid TouchWiz, which we have grown to like – even if it does look a little cartoon-like.

In our first impressions with the Samsung Galaxy M Pro, the marriage of touchscreen and QWERTY keyboard may not be perfect – you will be using the real keys more – it is a decent stab at the BlackBerry market and one which may well entice those who want to try Android, but don’t want to rid themselves of real keys.

The Samsung Galaxy M Pro UK release date and pricing are still to be announced.

New range of all-in-one printers has introduced by Kodak which are Google Cloud PrintReady, make users can print documents and photos from anywhere internet connected device.

Google Cloud Print can help users to print from any app, on any device without installation, drivers or a PC connection.

Users can also use Kodak Email PrintReady to send printing jobs, which the company is also making available to its existing customers.

Four new printers will be available from the company. HERO 5.1, HERO 7.1, HERO 9.1 and the OFFICE HERO 6.1.

If you wish, you can even let your friends and family know your printer’s email address so people can send you prints directly – a bit like receiving a fax.

Inks

The new printers use Kodak’s proprietary pigment-based inks that Kodak claims can dry instantly and are smudge, water and fade resistant and are long lasting.

Kodak’s Smart Sensor technology predicts supplies and time needed to complete a job, automatically identifying paper, size and amount.

The HERO 7.1 and HERO 9.1 printers feature touch-screen technology, while the OFFICE HERO 6.1 printer includes automatic two-sided printing, copying, scanning and faxing.

The 5.1, 7.1 and 9.1 all have a print resolution of 9600 optimised dpi, while the 6.1 prints at 4800 optimised dpi. Borderless prints can be made from 4×6 inches up to 8.5 x 11 inches.

The scanner on the 5.1 is a 1200 dpi optical scanner, while the 6.1, 7.1 and 9.1 use a 2400 dpi optical scanner.

The 5.1 and 6.1 are compatible with 10 series ink cartridges only, while the 7.1 and 9.1 take 30 series inks.

All of the printers can print directly from memory cards, including SD, SDHC, Multimedia Card (MMC), Memory Stick (MS), Memory Stick Pro (MS PRO) and mini SD/micro SD with an adapter.

Every Kodak printer comes bundles with software which includes Perfect Page Technology to correct and improve scanned images. The software also allows for 3D photo printing, printing scenes from video files and printing directly from Facebook, Kodak Gallery, Picasa, Flickr and Photobucket.

Kodak Hero printers UK price

The Kodak Hero 9.1 UK price will be £199 RRP, the Hero 7.1 UK price is £169 RRP, the OFFICEHERO 6.1 UK price is £169 and finally the Hero 5.1 is £99 RRP.

It looks like the BlackBerry PlayBook will also be getting a price cut at Best Buy.
The PlayBook runs on BlackBerry’s QNX tablet OS and features dual cameras, as well as microUSB and microHDMI ports. The 7-inch multitouch screen has a resolution of 1024 x 600, while the tablet packs a 1GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of system memory.

The electronics retailer is also offering the 16GB version of the 7-inch tablet for $449, $50 off the regular price of $499. The big-box retailer recently started offering the 64GB PlayBook for $150 less than its usual retail price, with a new tag of $550.

At the time of its most recent earnings announcement, RIM claimed to have shipped 500,000 PlayBooks, though the company announced it had missed revenue targets by hundreds of millions of dollars. Earlier this month Sprint canceled the 4G version of the mobile device, though the carrier will continue to carry the Wi-Fi model of the PlayBook while concentrating on an LTE 4G tablet.

Competition among 7-inch slates continues to increase, as Lenovo announced its IdeaPad A1 yesterday. RIM’s co-CEO, Jim Blasillie, has been quoted saying that the “PlayBook launch did not go as smoothly as planned,” so perhaps with the recent discount the company can begin to make up for lost sales.

Lirik lagu Govinda -Bawa aku lari:

Salahkah akan perasaan ini
Hingga ku lemah tak berdaya
Lihat kau lebih indah darinya aaa..

Salah dia yang hanya lihat sifat burukku
Baginya tak ada baiknya

Bawa aku lari dari sini
Ku sudah bosan, bosan dengannya
Karena aku inginkan kamu
Jadi kekasihku pemilik hatiku

Semoga engkau pun mau
Bebaskan aku lari darinya

Salahkah akan perasaan ini
Hingga ku lemah tak berdaya
Lihat kau lebih indah darinya aaa..

Salah dia yang hanya lihat sifat burukku
Baginya tak ada baiknya

Bawa aku lari dari sini
Ku sudah bosan, bosan dengannya
Karena aku inginkan kamu
Jadi kekasihku pemilik hatiku

Semoga engkau pun mau
Bebaskan aku lari darinya

Bawa aku lari dari sini
Ku sudah bosan, bosan dengannya
Karena aku inginkan kamu
Jadi kekasihku pemilik hatiku

Semoga engkau pun mau
Bebaskan aku lari darinya
Darinya ah darinya
Bawa aku lari
