Learning about the Android Cell Phones

Android phones have quickly become the “wave of the future”. Not only can one talk & text on an Android phone, they can perform many other applications on the phone just as if you were using your home pc, just on a much smaller scale. Take for instance the app store which allows you to download anything from a flashlight to a foreign language translator, to a mapping device, all of which you can comfortably hold in the palm of your hand. You can surf the internet while on your lunch break in the local park. Some of the phones come equipt with a small keyboard while others work with merely a touch screen that of which also allows you to pull up a digital keyboard on the screen itself.

Using an Android phone is also becoming easier and easier as time moves on. Some applications can be opened by simple voice command which can also be used to make phone calls just by stating the words “call home”, or “call work”. These phones can also be used to take photos and videos which can immediately be uploaded to your home pc without even being home. There is also a USB cable which comes with the phone for you to use when you are at home and would like to sync your phone with your PC either to charge it or to transfer files to or from your phone.

I don’t forsee the sales of Android phones slowing down anytime soon and am excited to see what’s to come of them in the future!

How do you get the blackberry mail icon to show up instead of the yahoo mail icon the blackberry 8800?

I had a blackberry and ported my number over to a different service provider just to find out that the new service provider didn’t work in my house. So I switched back to my blackberry and I guess in the process, my email information got deleted. When I went to add my yahoo email again, the icon shows up as a yahoo envelope rather than the original email envelope. Does anyone know how to get the original icon?
