iOS 5, Apple soon-to-be-released mobile OS for iPhone, iPhone and iPad 2, and the iPod nano (third and fourth generation), has over 200 updates and improvements over the previous OS, according to Apple. Some of the changes are significant, although they riff on the signature features of other platforms (Android cough!).
The developers have had the opportunity to seek an overview of the operating system for several weeks, though the public is just now learning what to expect. We checked the information comes directly from Apple and sacrificed the most interesting, when a company promotes 200 changes in a product, you can bet they are all important.
The overall picture is this: The iPhone, the iPhone and iPod Touch will be greater integration, both among the applications of each device works and others. The number of clicks, taps, and buffers that you need to perform a task are reduced or eliminated.
The messages to date, at least one app that will be preinstalled on all new IOS devices are a variation on another popular program that had previously users to buy a third-party developer, and my feeling is that we will see more this in the future.
iOS 5 will be compatible with: iPhone 3G, iPhone 4, iPod touch, third-generation iPod touch, fourth, IPad2 iPad generation iPhone and probably the fifth
